Slovenian Association of Drillers, Blasters and Pyrotechnics is a voluntary, independent and unprofitable organization of natural persons, who joined their forces in order to make acquaintances and to share professional experiences and informations, especially in the sphere of blasting.

The name of the association is Društvo minerjev, vrtalcev in pirotehnikov Slovenije (Association of Blasters, Drillers and Pyrotechnics), shortly DMVP.

The main purpose of the association is to integrate all authorized, certified drillers, blasters, pyrotechnics and other related employees.

Our goal is also promotion and organization of education and professional training of staff in order to raise professional knowledge and skills of our members, which is an inevitable condition to improve safety at work.

We also make efforts to spread technical culture, and to implement common sense of raising productivity and promoting innovations through stimulating and encouraging technical improvements.

One of our objectives is also the establishment of positive relationship between employers and employees, including relevant Ministries and other authorities.

An important task of the association is analyzing, estimating and improving social, legal and labour status of blasters, drillers and pyrotechnics.

In the future, our plan is to organize and direct occasional educations in the field of production of, and handling (transportations and usage) explosives and similar dangerous products, with the emphasis on their application in the process of blasting, drilling, destroying etc. - to prevent accidents and improve safety at work in general.

The association is going to make an effort to offer legal assistance for the members by means of providing professional opinions within available financial resources.

The association is willing to award a member for extreme achievements in our branch.
